1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian - If you are looking to add Accoyo 4Peruvian Legacy genetics AND rich color in one breeding, look no further--HVLA Legacy's ElDorado is ready to work for you. ElDorado, the only grey Legacy son listed on ARI to date, has produced award winning crias in a broad spectrum of color: 3 greys, 3 blacks, 3 browns, and 6 fawns in 2002-2005. ElDorado's fleece is a soft and lovely charcoal grey (DSG) showing brightness, density and good staple length. He is improving offspring over the dam and himself in fiber and passing on his beautiful bold and straight conformation. ElDorado brings good micron genetics from both Legacy (21.8 micron at 9 years) and his MSG dam HVLA Jane Grey (20.0 micron at 5 years). Legacy, ElDorado's sire and one of North America's premier Accoyo studs, has produced many champions and has more than 300 offspring on the ground.

Makella was the granddam who started us down the path of show-quality alpacas in the past two decades. We are sorry to say that she has passed less than a month from turning 20. This girl contributed some highly valuable genetics to our herd with many of her offspring still existing on our farm! We were blessed and grateful to have her in our lives. Makella had it all - gorgeous fleece with uniformity, soft handle, fineness, tight crimp, and density, along with beautiful conformation, a perfect bite, and ribbon-winning presence. Makella won 5 blue ribbons in 3 different show types - shorn halter, halter, and fleece - proving that she was a complete package. With her 3.5-year-old fleece she won a blue ribbon and RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION in the Northwest Alpaca Showcase 2007. The following year she won 2nd at Nationals with her 4.5-year-old fleece, beating some very well-known farms. And in 2009 she got 1st at the AOBA World Conference with a 19/20 in fineness and handle. The fact that Makella maintains ROYAL fineness and UNIFORMITY as she ages is exactly what we are breeding for. Makella has superior genetics in her background (Peruvian Accolade, Peruvian Augusto, Peruvian El Moustachio) and passed them on to her crias in prime form. Over the years she gave us many top award-winning offspring.

Catalina has produced phenomenal offspring, including National Brown Color Champion, Sweet Pines Torino!
Catalina's fleece is an exquisite medium brown with a SOFT handle and tight, consistent crimp. She has straight conformation and a perfect bite. She is one of those friendly, confident alpacas that catches your attention right away. And then when you start looking at her pedigree, you know you can't go wrong...especially if you are breeding for superior QUALITY COLOR.
Catalina is out of ELDORADO, a very studly charcoal grey. ElDorado is out of the amazing 4Peruvian LEGACY along with a plethora of black and grey on his dam's side. Catalina's dam is our very own champion Makella. And the genetics on her side are just as impressive - Peruvian Accolade, Peruvian Augusto, Peruvian El Moustachio, & Peruvian Don Julio.
Catalina's first cria, Azera, is spectacular. She won our hearts along with two well-earned ribbons (2nd at AFCNA Fleece Show & 3rd at Alpaca Affaire composite). Her dark chocolate brown fleece is soft & crimpy with excellent character.
But Catalina's claim to fame is her son, Sweet Pines Torino, a NATIONAL COLOR CHAMPION for his fleece at AOBA Nationals 2011. He has also earned 3 RESERVE CHAMPIONS in both halter and fleece. His 1st histogram stats are amazing: AFD 15.7, SD 2.9, CV 18.4, %>30 0.5.
A half price breeding is available to any of our unrelated studs (e.g. Snowmass XXXtreme Flare) or those of Alpaca Harmony, LLC (e.g. Spanish Peaks Banderas (Torino's sire) OR champion black herdsire Crescent Moon's Daytona).
We will provide 4 months free board upon purchase if necessary. Transport and purchase exam are the responsibility of the buyer.
Thank you for considering Catalina, a wonderful mother producing exceptional offspring.
