 | | | Stud Fee: $1,200 El Campeon (Champ) has a luscious medium to dark fawn fleece that you can't keep your hands off and a head & coverage you can't keep your eyes off. The first thing you notice about Champ besides his gentle yet confident demeanor is his full coverage from head to toe. At further inspection, his soft handle, density, and uniform crimp abound throughout his fleece. In 2006, we got an amazing 8.5 pounds of fiber from Champ, with average microns at 21.6, staple length of 4.5 inches, and comfort factor of 96.4%. He is also well conformed with an excellent bite, and has settled his first female on our ranch at just a month after turning 2 years old. Champ's dam, Tasha Yar, has maintained a 22 micron fleece even at 7 years of age. She continues to produce award winning crias for us and is an excellent mother. Champ's sire, NWA/Line Fallstaff, has many awards, recently winning Reserve Color Champion at GWAS Fleece Show 2005 at age 5! With both dam and sire maintaining or even improving in fiber quality as they age, we are confident he will do the same. With grandsires El Mustachio and PPeruvian Felix, Champ has great potential as a herdsire. El Campeon's first cria, Boxster, was born on August 10th, 2007. Boxster is an improvement over his dam in crimp, fineness, and coverage. To our delight, he is dark fawn, darker than El Campeon, despite the fact that his dam is white. He has a very attractive head and personality to match. Awards Received 2007 - Wild West Fleece Show - 1st place 2006 - Fiber Odyssey Spin-Off - 2nd place out of 14, .
