| Spanish Peaks Banderas Stud Fee: $1,600 Introductory Co-owned by Brandy Vernay, Alpaca Harmony, LLC, Craigmont, ID and Judy Sims-Barlow, Spanish Peaks Alpacas, La Veta, CO We are thrilled that our daughter, Brandy Vernay, now co-owns Spanish Peaks Banderas with Judy Sims-Barlow of Spanish Peaks Alpacas. This junior herdsire is phenomenal. His fleece is a dark rosey brown roan with unbeatable character and handle. The beautiful crimp, remarkable length, brightness, & silky softness are truly advanced. He has white fibers uniformly dispersed throughout his dark fleece, therefore he often shows as an indefinite dark. Nevertheless, he won Color Champion at AFCNA 2006 Fleece Show showing as brown. At GWAS 2006, judge Mike Safley, placed him as color champion right away, noting that it was rare for the darkest animal in a class to win over multicolors that are mostly white. Banderas has top genetics in his background (e.g. Victor, Pluro, Sir Winston of Melville) and both his sire & dam are out of the well-known Snowmass Alpacas breeding program. Banderas spent the summer and fall of 2007 starting his breeding career in Colorado by settling several dams in variety of colors. He is now here in Idaho and ready to serve the Pacific Northwest 2007 - AFCNA Fleece Show - 1st and Reserve Color Champion 2007 - GWAS - 2nd in halter 2007 - AOBA Spin-Off - 1st place 2006 - MidAmerica - 1st in halter 2006 - ABR Fall Festival - 1st in halter, 1st in fleece 2006 - AFCNA Fleece Show Brown - Color Champion 2006 - Great Western Alpaca Show - Multicolor Color Champion Banderas' Offspring - His first crias are due this summer |
